2012 was an eventful year for me as far as movies was concerned,u could even say that it was an year wholly dedicated to movies..all i could think and post about on these 365 days, was about movies...so i guess it shall be the most appropriate to have my next blog centred on movies as well

I wish to put up my small excrepts on the two films that satisfied me the most...this year...atleast to me,the list that i am going to put looks completely spot-on...since i was numbering it right from the begininning...and the fact that i could see more movies than i expected.clearly did help the cause.....so if theres anyone who does feel a bit-cheated..then try to be contempt with the fact that the list is quite different or rather my views of his and many others .and thus makes for more interesting reading :)

without further to do,let me start up with the film i thought was the best of this year

1. Ayaalum Njanum Thammil - Lal Jose

If i clearly remember ,it was when the year was about to end.and most movie buffs had rounded-up the list that this movie released.but there certainly was an extremely positive vibe prior to the release..thogh a few were vary of its BO prospects...none seem to hav any doubts on the quality it promised....and the movie did deliver..The reason whay ANT tops the list.is because its one of those films that wer able to carve a niche of its own and let you live the character...and also because story line seemed incredibly genuine.with no signs of manipulation..it was centred on how the protagonist who has to undergo a training in a rural centre before being able to take up the mantle of profession on his own...quiet wonderfully mirrored with the decisions that we take in our daily life..and heart breaks, anger and bouts of goodness that we withness.and for the exact same reason the message that it delivered seemed extremely heartfelt.and also what was compelling was performances..pratap pothen inherited all the virtues of the character and broght life to the role..and pritvi was as apt as it cud be in the role of protagonist.the visuals were so wondefully haunting and lal jose was clearly able to make an important film that retains its lilting mood through out

2. Spirit - Ranjith

It was after a sring of much-appraised movies not necessarily meeting up my expectations that i headed in to watch Spirit.Bu movie quiet clearly won over me.again the trump card is the way in which the message that movie intended was put to the audien...Spirit was a thought-provoking film...that quiet effortlessly let us get empathised to the subject in hand...and yet it was all done with tremendous precision...there was nothing that you felt sticked-out in the movie.and its one of those movies that supremely benefits from the fact that the writer, knows his protagonist like the palm of his hands...and thus renjith was able to create those little-moments that added so much also was able to show-case essense of bonding and lend a feel to the proceedings.....Spirit in its 2nd half surged to greater hights as socially responsible reghunandan sort to set out to uncover the emotional tranqulities that an alcholic has to deal with...and how well picturosed the docu-fiction portions were...and renjith essayed his maturity and stamp again..without letting the movie move into a sentimental or a preachy mess...for anyone who missed this film,i suggest u catch it twice...this layered and stunning acted movie deserves it
